One of the world's Largest Libraries going Online

Google is rolling...They never stop. They have many projects under their belt. The next major one is to put the whole library online. Its not just any library but one of the World's Largest Libraries. Google is planning to put all the books from the libraries of University of California. UC has about 100 libraries in all of its campuses.

I don't know how they are gonna do this but its a major project. had done similar stuff where you could search inside the book. Well its not really similar. Either way this is going to be a very tough.

According Google, the copyrighted materials "will be limited to title, author, a few lines of text related to the query and where it could be bought or borrowed."

what's in for Google?
Well, first thing that comes to my mind is that they could charge the University some fee to put the library online, and I guess some ads.

Other universities such as Harvard, Stanford is also interested in this project.

Will this affect the employment at those libraries?
