Google beats other Online Giants in Global Brands!!!


We all know that Google is now like a house hold name. People even use it as a verb and on finger tips . According to the survey done by BusinessWeek and Interbrand, Google ranks 24 as the best global brands. Google is ahead of companies like Dell, Sony, Oracle, Apple, EBay, and Yahoo among others. Below is the list of some technological companies that's on the list who is behind Google.

Google was at 38 last year.

I was on a website where I found some of the domain names that were registered way back in 1985. According to the website "symbolics.com" is the first one on the list and was registered on March 15th, 1985. The website of "symbolics.com" however is not that impressive.

I m sure you have heard in the news about Kazaa paying over $100m in lawsuit. The founders of Kazaa also founded popular "peer to peer voice service" Skype. Skype was then sold to Ebay for couple of billions of dollars. So do you think they (founders of Kazaa) is using some of that money to pay the legal fees? Either way they can still live large.

eBay Bans Sellers from Using Google Checkout

eBay is banning sellers from requesting payment through Google Checkout. The online auction giant updated its Safe Payments policy this week to add Google's new payment service, Google Checkout to its list of online payment methods not permitted on eBay.
